Terms & Conditions
Payment and Delivery Information
Our selection of hire bunting is available from £1.50 per metre excluding delivery and return.
The following terms and conditions apply when hiring our bunting, so please read these before confirming your order, as your hire payment will be deemed as acceptance of these.
You can complete our online order/enquiry form and we will then contact you to discuss your requirements. Alternatively you can ring us for a chat.
Delivery and Return Charges
If you are able to collect and return the bunting back to us in person, delivery and return costs do not apply. Alternatively depending on where you live it may be possible for us to arrange to deliver and collect for an agreed charge.
If neither of these options is convenient, please contact us for a quotation which will be based on the most cost effective means of ensuring delivery and collection within the specified time frame by using a National Courier Service.
Please be aware that all of the above will require someone to be available at the delivery address to sign for the bunting.
Our aim is for you to receive your bunting in good time for your special event and therefore we offer a 5 day hire period from Thursday to Monday. (where bunting is delivered to you on Thursday, and sent back to us on a Monday, to arrive no later than Tuesday)
If you require your bunting hire for a midweek event it may be possible to arrange this, so please contact us to discuss.
Alternatively if you require your bunting for a longer period please contact us before confirming your booking as we may be able to arrange a longer hire period for an additional daily charge.
Once we have established your requirements, we will send you an email or written quote (your choice!) inclusive of the delivery and return charges. This quote remains valid for 2 weeks from the date sent. If we do not hear from you within this time we will make the bunting available for hire again, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Confirming your Booking
Once you have received our quote inclusive of the delivery and return charge you can secure your booking with a 50% deposit. If more than 14 days has elapsed since we sent our quote, check with us first that the bunting you require is still available.
Full payment is required for bookings made less than 28 days before the date on which you require the bunting to be delivered.
4 weeks before your event we will invoice you for the balance of the hire cost, together with a Refundable Damage Waiver to be charged at a minimum rate of £1.50 per metre (depending on design) of bunting hired. This Damage Waiver Charge will be promptly refunded to you in full, provided the bunting is returned to us in good condition and on the specified date.
When we have received cleared payment from you, we will send you an email or written confirmation of this and will then contact you on an agreed date to discuss final arrangements for delivery and return of the bunting.
All hire costs including Booking Deposit, Refundable Damage Waiver and Balance Payment are payable by bank transfer, details of which are included on our Invoice.
We hope that there will be no need to cancel your booking for any reason, but in the event that this becomes necessary, please let us know as soon as possible either by phone or email.
The following Charges will be applied upon notification of Cancellation:
Over 90 days before the Hire date: 50% Booking Deposit Fully Refundable
Less than 90 days before the Hire date: 50% Booking Deposit Non-Refundable
Less than 28 days before the Hire date: 100% Total Hire Charge * Non-Refundable
* (excludes Damage Waiver Charge & Courier Costs)
If for reasons beyond our control we are unable to supply you with the bunting you have arranged to hire, we shall promptly refund to you any monies already paid which will be the full extent of our liability.
The standard hire period for your bunting is 5 days, to enable us time to prepare bunting for the next client. A late return could affect another client’s booking.
Where it has been agreed that the bunting is to be returned by you in person, or collected by us, it will be due back on the Monday after your event unless we have previously agreed an alternative day, in writing.
If bunting is to be returned using the Courier service we will arrange this for you. It is necessary, however, that you or your representative are able to sign that the bunting has been collected by the Courier on the Monday after your event, to ensure delivery to us by 1 pm on Tuesday (unless agreed otherwise).
If the bunting is not received back to us by the agreed date, and you are unable to provide confirmation of the collection, then you may forfeit your Damage Waiver Charge.
Bunting Care & Use
We will supply you with instructions about hanging bunting when we deliver it to you, as well as how to repack bunting for return delivery to us, but please feel free to contact us for further advice or information, as we are always happy to help.
We will provide some ties to help you to secure bunting to a permanent fixing, but if you require more, please use ribbon, string or similar. Please do not secure bunting in place with nails, staples, blue tak or any other adhesive substances, as this will damage the bunting. When taking bunting down please ensure that you do not cut through the loop at each end of the bunting string
Our Cotton Bunting looks lovely outdoors, hanging in trees or along fences, but it does not like getting wet. Flags and bunting tape can become stained or marked, and the weight of water absorbed may cause them to rip. To avoid any such damage, we therefore request that bunting is used under cover only, unless it is obvious that conditions outside will be dry for the period that the bunting is to be used.
Our New Outdoor Bunting has been produced to withstand a greater degree of moisture, however, is still not 100% waterproof and can suffer damage* if not properly cared for. Specific instructions are provided which detail its care.
If the worst does happen and flags get wet, please ensure that you dry them thoroughly before sending them back. In all cases please contact us immediately to advise what has happened, so that we can agree the best course of action.
Please ensure that all bunting is positioned safely to avoid any risk to health. It should be kept out of the reach of children at all times.
Return of Bunting in good Condition
We will promptly refund to you the full amount of the Refundable Damage Waiver paid, provided that the Bunting is returned to us in the same condition in which you received it. This means without any lengths missing or damage* to the Bunting which requires it to be repaired or replaced.
Damage* can include any of the following: tears/rips/snags/cut looped ends/staining/dyeing/fading (to flags and/or tape).
The Bunting, once returned should only need airing and pressing before being available for rehire.
In the event of any of the above, an assessment will be made of the works required to repair or replace the affected Bunting and a cost will be confirmed to you which will then be deducted from the Refundable Damage Waiver paid.
